Why Jealousy? Why Not Honesty?

Why Jealousy? Why Not Honesty?

I have just come through a series of posts on how women are jealous and it made me wonder why there is always that stereotype. Just yesterday someone told me in a different context that men have always meant to be the providers and women have always been concerned about their beauty. Well, of course that’s changing but from my experience I have dated one terribly, over -possessive guy when I was very young. That relationship skewed my brain for that time and many years post that while I lead life carrying that baggage with me. There is nothing wrong in being free, full of life and having platonic guy/girl friends you can hug, give pecks and depend on. That particular boyfriend had a problem with all of that and guess what at the end of the day he cheated on me. So here is the thing about jealousy, it comes from insecurity and it also comes from who you are. Most jealous people are the ones who are capable of cheating because they feel it & they think the other person will do it too. It is not even about cheating. It is about dishonesty. I have read about so many polyamorous relationships. I personally don’t know how it works in terms of being in relationships with so many people simply because where do you get the time to do so much! Having said that it’s great if it suits you. I have a problem with dishonesty. With telling someone that you love him or only her while you go around then sleeping or hitting on other people. That is unfair to the other person. In the last few years, my experiences with men have been better and healthier simply because it’s honest. If you tell me if you are with someone else & vice versa, we can choose to feel the way we would feel as we have the most complete information – a 100%. I am glad I met pretty honest men along the way. You have to realise that no one on this planet is obligated to love you. You kind of have to earn that not only at the start...

Treat monsoon ‘blues’ safely and effectively!

Treat monsoon ‘blues’ safely and effectively!

Cold & Cough Cold and cough are common health problems during monsoon. Keep the following homeopathic remedies handy — to beat a cold or cough: Allium Cepa: Helps to treat allergies accompanied by sneezing and itching of nose Arsenicum Album: Helps to treat colds and sniffles Gelsemium: Useful in flu with body ache, sneezing, runny nose and headache, more so when one feels extremely exhausted or tired. Rhus Toxicodendron:  Helps to treat colds brought on after getting wet in the rain. Respiratory Allergies Respiratory allergies are common during monsoon. They occur primarily because of variations in temperature, poor hygiene and bad sanitation. They appear with a runny nose, sneezing bouts, headache and throat infection.  The homeopathic remedy Natrum Sulphuricum is most useful for such hypersensitivities — including nasal allergies. Other useful remedies are Natrum Muriaticum, Nux Vomica, Pulsatilla and Arsenicum Album. A study conducted in the UK showed that 80 per cent of allergic asthmatic individuals taking homeopathic treatment showed improved results and tangible health benefits.   Tummy Upset There is the possibility of “fire in your belly” going haywire during monsoon. Diarrhoea, or amoebiasis, a common problem, is often caused by contaminated food or water. The symptoms are dysentery, sometimes mixed with blood and mucous. Aloe Socotrina is useful in treating such health concerns. For dysentery with hot, stinking stools, cutting pains and prolonged straining, even after passing stools, Mercurius Corrosivus is useful. For dysentery with bloody diarrhoea,Alumen is effective. Gastroenteritis is equally common during monsoon. The disorder is primarily caused by bacterial, or viral, infections of the gastrointestinal tract. The symptoms are tummy ache, diarrhoea, and vomiting, leading to loss of body fluids and dehydration. Children are more susceptible than grown-up adults. Arsenicum Album is a useful first remedy to treat such diarrhoea or vomiting. For profuse, watery, greenish-coloured diarrhoea, containing undigested food, Ipecacuanha is an effective remedy. Seek prompt medical treatment, if diarrhoea, or vomiting, does not stop in children within 24-48 hours.   Fungal Infection This is an annoying and irritating skin problem. Fungal infections often develop, because of monsoon’s moist equation. They appear primarily on skin folds, such as the groin and toes. Chrysarobic Acid, or Graphites, is most...
