Is Fynd the Next Best Shopping App?

Is Fynd the Next Best Shopping App?

Shopping is something every girl loves. I have seen friends sitting around, gossiping and at the same time shopping for clothes, accessories and what not. Now come to think of it, even I have many a times done that. Thankfully shopping has become so easy in the recent past that with a few clicks the product is on your doorstep. Okay let’s talk about the recent most shopping app that we Lemon Chutney girls came across, Fynd. At the first glance it seemed pretty user friendly and easy  to understand. Truth be told, shopping on your phone is not my favourite thing to do. I need to zoom in the images and look at them when shopping online, alas this was not possible & only to a certain extent on the phone app. Your phone screen will always be smaller than the laptop or the PC screen. But other than that the shopping experience seemed like fun. The one thing that I really liked about the app is the fact that the prices are way less than the ones you find in the store. I mean getting such expensive and amazing brands at such a cheap cost is absolutely fabulous. So Anwesha and I, decided to make use of the low prices and bought things just to see the quality. Many a times it happens that when the cost is so less, the quality is compromised as well. So I ordered a kurti from Fab India, while Anwesha ordered a beautiful pair of heels from Catwalk & pretty earrings from Kazo & a casual beach t-shirt. Needless to say my kurti from Fab India was really as good as the store, but the difference is that I paid way less for it and so did Anwesha for her heels.  When buying footwear online, people tend to be skeptical about the perfect size and comfort level, but Anwesha was happy about it and the size was perfect. Also the t-shirt was exactly like the color shown in the picture & the earrings were adorable. Fynd as an app claims of super fast delivery and true to its word the things we ordered arrived on superfast...

A Walk in Crocs, Maybe

A Walk in Crocs, Maybe

When you hear of the brand Crocs, you immediately think of their well-known, world famous clogs. Infact that is the only thing that comes to your mind and it is rather sad as the brand actually has a lot of other designed shoes. I was sent these blue crocs to test and check and to be honest on the first viewing I wasn’t very excited. Now this could be personal simply because I like brighter colors and the slightly dull shade of blue didn’t make me jump with enthusiasm. Having said that I checked the inner sole and Woah! It felt comfortable. Once I got into it, I was literally prancing around and doing mini jumps just to check how sturdy and light they were & I have to tell you, they are pretty darn good. I like to go for evening walks and to change things up I started wearing these crocs. For me they work, as I don’t jog I just brisk-walk. In my desire to check the wearability of the shoes I started wearing them to my zumba workout too. After 3 sessions and mind you I had no discomfort whatsoever, a fellow student asked me if I was wearing socks & not shoes and then they all stood and told me how it is important to wear shoes with laces and that give proper bounce for a zumba workout. I obviously sincerely did listen to my instructor but I have to admit the crocs definitely did not feel weird on my feet during the workouts. I think it is a great pair of shoes for moms who are always on their feet or even for college students. I know for a fact that a lot of girls may actually even really like this color. But I would definitely love these in like a neon green. I wouldn’t really call these particular crocs pair high on fashion but definitely high on comfort. Also definitely steep on the pricing but to be honest, you can practically live in them.   Pros Very comfortable Great for walks/ workouts Odor resistant quality Light weight Cons Not very stylish Less variety of colors Expensive pricing...

Product Review: Karleo Mela Collection

Product Review: Karleo Mela Collection

Anwesha had many years ago shot with one of the designer’s from Karleo Leon Vaz and was super excited about his new designer brand with partner Karan Berry. Rati in general also loves jewelry. After having heard of their brand we were got pretty keen on checking out their Mela collection full of headgear and pieces. So here we review 2 pieces from the same. Rati tried the Silver cluster hairband I love hairbands.  As a child I remember I had tons of them and would wear one matching with each outfit.  But unfortunately I had to grow up and hairbands didn’t seem to go with every outfit of mine anymore.  But remember those cutesy ones which our moms used to make us wear.  The ones with the butterfly prints and embellished with stones and what tnot.  Oh I miss those days!  But that is when I came across karleo and the brand has similar hair bands for adults available.  Embellished with swarovski stones and all beautiful.  So I got my hands on this stunning hairband and the first time I tried it on,  I felt nothing short of a princess. The quality of the products are pretty good as well and depending on the price point,  it seems like that the brand is putting on a lot of effort to ensure that the consumer is happy about shelling out that kind of money. Now truth be told,  I can’t wear this hairband on a day to day basis because it will make every outfit OTT.  But on special occasions like a Christmas dinner or a party I am going to with my girls,  this band makes for a perfect accessory.  I don’t even need to wear any other jewellery because it takes center stage. I thoroughly love the product and will definitely recommend people to get hold of one for themselves,  but the pricing of the website sure is a little steep and not for everyone. Anwesha tried the Sagittarius gold crystal headpiece I am not a huge fan of excessive bling but sometimes you have high end parties or weddings where you can dress up in designer wear. Would I wear this Karleo...

Beauty Review: Dr Batra’s Intense Moisturising Cream

Beauty Review: Dr Batra’s Intense Moisturising Cream

Dr Batra’s skincare products have been there for a while in the market, so when I had to try the newly launched Intense Moisturising cream, I didn’t bat an eyelid before I said yes. I mean you know you can trust a brand which has been there forever.  But the thing about me is that I have extensively oily skin and really don’t apply a moisturiser so a few skeptical feeling did creep in when I tried the product. But boy was a surprise in store for me. The packaging of the box is just like any of Dr. Batra’s products, white and neat and this one was no different.  It was what was inside which was different and nice. There are a lot of moisturizers in the market and they are so heavy that you don’t want to apply them because of the feeling they leave behind. But this one was different and ensured that it didn’t leave behind a residue. It is enriched with vitamin E and is perfect for dry skin. The long lasting hydration with silky smooth feel and restores skin’s natural moisture and keeps it moisturized all the time. The Echinacea and vitamin E slows down the degeneration of skin cells keeping skin soft and youthful. Yay! The cream has a light texture almost like a gel. It applies easily and absorbs into the skin almost immediately which is such a boon. Another thing I loved about the cream is the smell. It is strong and feminine and has a feel good factor about it. The cream is a useful for combination skin and is pretty light weight and non greasy. Just that it doesn’t sit really well with oily skin. But I would definitely recommend it for girls with combination and dry skin. Rating:...
